St Thomas’ Toddlers meet in the Wade Centre every Tuesday and Thursday during term time between 9:00-11:00 am. The group is a brilliant opportunity to meet other parents and have a chat, and is a great introduction to shared play for the children – indeed, it’s a place where many lasting friendships have been made! On arrival, there is toast for the children, followed by a snack of fruit, biscuits and a drink mid-way through the morning – and, of course, tea and coffee for the adults. (You can’t have a natter without a cuppa!) We sing songs and usually have a craft or play activity, as well as free play with a vast array of toys. Once a month we have Kids Praise, with a Bible story and some lively songs with Iain, the Vicar, instead of the usual singing slot.
The group is really popular which means that, unfortunately, to keep the numbers manageable, safe and fun, we have to ask that children who come along fulfil all of the following criteria:
- Children from Kidsgrove or who come to St Thomas’ Church
- Children brought by a parent or relative
- Children under the age of free nursery places. (Free places are available for children in the term after their third birthday. If your child is of nursery age, why not check out our OFSTED-rated ‘outstanding’ Nursery?)
All sessions are limited to 30 children on a first-come, first-served, basis. You are very welcome to turn up on any Tuesday or Thursday – there’s no need to book. If you’d like more information, please email by clicking here.
